Rebounding: Bounce Your Way to Better Health

104 Views0 Comments I'm super excited about my favorite Christmas gift... a Needak Rebounder! See it here ::: What exactly is a rebounder, you ask? Think mini trampoline. Speaking of which, I remember "tramp hopping" when I was in junior high, where we'd sneak into strangers' yards and jump on their tramps in hopes of not getting caught. Today, I live a less criminal life but I still get a high when I bounce. Embraced by the raw food and new age crowds, rebounding is a safe and effective form of exercise. But it doesn't stop a cardio benefits, the rebounder benefits the entire body in powerful ways. Top Ways Rebounders Help the Body 1. Moves the lymph system. This often forgotten about, yet extremely important, body system is a network of organs, lymph nodes, lymph ducts, and lymph vessels that produce and transport lymph from tissues to the bloodstream. And get this, the lymph system is a major component of the body's immune system. Unlike our blood which is pumped by our heart, the lymph system doesn't have a pump so it benefits by the "pumping" of our body when we exercise. 2. Gentle on the body. Rebounding is a great form of cardiovascular exercise and yet unlike running, jump rope or other strenuous exercise, it is extremely gentle on our joints since we aren't pounding the hard pavement but a buoyant surface that gives with each jump. 3. Burns the calories. While rebounding, you achieve a weightless state at the top of each jump and then land with twice the force of gravity on each bounce. This phenomenon affects the entire body, down to the cellular level, particularly in the way our body burns. For example, a 150-pound person bouncing one hour on a rebounder burns about 410 calories and only 355 while jogging (at the pace of five miles per hour.) 4. Facilitates detox. Since rebounding reaches the cellular level and stimulates our lymph system, which assists toxin removal, it is a powerful detoxifier. According to Arthur C. Guyton, M.D., chairman of the department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, rebounding can increase the rate of lymph flow by 14 times! This increased flow helps to flush more toxins and debris from our body. 5. It's fun! Let's face it. Exercise can be a bore. I gravitate towards walking since I love the fresh air and changing scenery. Put me in a gym, I'm not a happy camper. Staring at cement walls while listening to bad music and hearing men grunt isn't my idea of fun. In contrast, I find JOY, yes JOY, while bouncing on my rebounder! I'm hoping that this joy will keep me bouncing regularly :). Anyone else out there do rebounding? Tell us about your experience! Pregnant? I'm not going to tell you what not to do, but I will say that I personally have found great pleasure in the consumption of fruits and vegetables, and what they do for my health. — Not only have I noticed positive physical changes, but I've noticed positive changes in my soul as well! — I want to give you hope that you CAN change & that you can continue to cultivate the positive! — I have an interest in spreading love, compassion, understanding & unity consciousness! — No matter what your religion, belief system, diet or color of skin is, you are welcome here on this channel! — As for this juice...this one is really good for diabetics as it has Jerusalem artichokes (sunchokes) in it, which are very good in balancing blood sugar. If you are new to Jerusalem artichokes, go easy on them first as they can give some people gas! However I find that by juicing them this is automatically less of an issue... — To help with your digestion, remember to mix some saliva w/ your juice as you drink it, as there are lots of digestive enzymes in your saliva! — Burdock root is a great blood cleanser & it's very delicious! — Spinach has lots of amino acids & minerals! It also helps to build your blood, like all leafy green vegetables do! Make sure to get oxygen too! — Cilantro is a heavy metal detoxifier, blood builder & flavor enhancer! It makes your juice smooth & creamy! — Parsley is a breath freshener, diuretic & kidney cleanser! — Leafy green vegetables are all full of amino acids, they heal the human organism & they connect us w/ planet Earth! — Sunchokes / Jerusalem Artichokes balance out the pancreas & keeps our blood sugar levels stable. — Zucchinis / Courgettes give extra body to the juice as well as plenty of extra alkaline minerals! — Cucumbers cleanse the kidneys & keep our electrolyte levels high, so it's great for when you want to go for a walk or a hike! Cucumbers are a cooling food, but that won't matter for me & my hike! — Celery is a miracle food in my book! I eat and/or juice it almost every day! — If you're diabetic & feel more comfortable leaving out the carrots, then please do so! Otherwise, they're great for supplying plenty of energy for walking or hiking! — In addition to eating right & juicing, what has also helped me a lot to get more healthy is practicing forgiveness & practicing meditation. — I want you to have peace in your soul! — Be open-minded to spiritual teachings, be honest with yourself, love yourself & be humble! — Your soul's peace is what I hope you achieve through these videos! ❤ You Like? ...then Please Subscribe! ❤ AND GET A JUICER! :) Love, Dan .
